What is Changing?
Starting on September 15, 2023, Microsoft will be initiating a series of prompts encouraging users who currently authenticate using text messages (SMS) and voice methods to convert to the Microsoft Authenticator app. This change, which will roll out over a period of six weeks, is aimed at bolstering security through a more robust and unified authentication process.
Note: If you currently use the Microsoft Authenticator app, no action is required.
